NEW in the IBAC project catalogue: No law, no bargain

In the years since communism, the lack of social and spiritual cohesion has become increasingly concerning to the Interconfessional Bible Society in Romania. There is a growing sense that unless people integrate faith, calling and work, socio-economic development will continue to lack long-term stability. The Bible Society’s aim is to bring about positive change through working with young people who are making significant life choices about their future careers.

No law, no bargain works with students to help them understand the importance of law, morality and values in decision making, and the insight the Bible can offer into this. After initially focusing on secondary school students, the project now also engages highly-performing students in the Law, Medicine and Theology faculties. They have the opportunity to take part in seminars looking at how to apply biblical principles and values in their professional lives, utilising industry-specific resources. The aim is to contribute to young people’s development, decrease corruption in those industries and demonstrate the relevance of the Bible within the workplace.
